Known for his creative structural solutions, Jim uses his collaborative approach to every problem with an emphasis on client service.

Jim has designed multiple developments across a variety of building types across Canada and the United States since 1988, including more than 50 high-rise projects throughout British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, and California.

Known for his creative structural solutions, Jim uses his collaborative approach to every problem with an emphasis on client service. With over three decades of experience in Quality Control Management, Jim leads the development of Operational Quality Management Policy at Kor Structural, and is the Head of the Systems Department.

Jim has also managed the design and construction of numerous Performance Based Design tall high-rise projects in San Diego and Los Angeles, California, including managing the city peer review and plan check process.

Notable projects that Jim has worked on include Simone at Union & Ash in San Diego, California; 6th & Olive in San Diego, California; 1011 Union in San Diego, California; 495 Hartford in Los Angeles, California; Torino in Richmond, B.C.; M Residences, Burnaby, B.C., and, 1st & Island Condos in San Diego, California.

Jim graduated with his Bachelor in Civil Engineering from the University of British Columbia in 1988, joined the Kor team in 2017, and became a Principal in 2019. He is currently licensed to practice in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, and Washington.

Outside of the office, Jim enjoys cycling, skiing, and staying fit. He recently designed and built his own vacation home in beautiful Kelowna BC where he like to split his time.
