Mark Bakhtavar

In his role as Senior Structural Engineer and Co-Manager of company’s Engineering Department, Mark is one of our chief seismic design experts and has been involved in analysis and design of over 200 high-rise and mid-rise concrete structures in Western North America. Our clients value his proficiency in design of high-rise concrete structures and his detail-oriented analytical and design skills. He is also the quality control and independent review coordinator for many of our projects.

Notable projects that Mark has worked on include the Marquee in Irvine CA, the International Hotel and Tower in Vancouver BC, Burrard Place in Vancouver BC, and Hudson Place in Victoria BC.

Mark graduated from the University of British Columbia in year 2000 with degree of Master of Applied Science in Structural Engineering with specialty in Dynamic Analysis of Structures. He joined the Kor team in 1999 and became a Principal in 2016. He has been a registered Professional Engineer in province of British Columbia since 2004.
